I've seen Dragonette play the Commodore in Vancouver twice, and both times the show was unbelievable. It's my favourite venue to see shows at in the first place - add in my favourite band and it's a win-win.

The first time they played there was one of the first times Don't Touch My Things was performed, and about a minute in Martina turned around and said "Guys, I'm lost!" so they had to stop and start again - I was so happy, because I wanted to hear it over and over. Then for the encore they did Get Lucky with the opening bands singing back-up barbershop quartet style.

Good times.

Hmm I know there was a picture with me and Martina and a few friends at one of them - my friend must have that hiding somewhere! I'll see if I can dig it up. I have another one of me and Martina from another show I saw them at here more than 3 years ago and it is really bad of me haha.

Kinda sad that I've seen them 5 times now and I don't have any good pics to show for it! Next time they are here I promise to make up for it.

Ahh I just re-found this video from the first time I saw them at the Commodore - March 21st, 2008. It's Take It Like A Man, and at one point the crowd is singing so loud that Martina points her mic at the audience and lets them take over. Such a powerful moment to experience - it took a bit for her to compose herself afterward. You could tell they were really touched by it...ah. I got a little tear in my eye watching it again after such a long time!

Skip ahead to about 1:20 for the part I'm talking about.
